12 Hour Shi(f)t

Tomorrow morning I will work my first real 12 hour shift. Eight hours is really hard for me. But, this is four more, plus working as a "nurse manager." I am not so happy about this. Only, I am trying to work on this thing called grace.

I want it. I need it. And I want tomorrow to be God-filled. Please pray that I can overcome my anger with working a 12 hour shift, that actually begins 45 minutes before the 12 hours start. Please, please, pray for me. Pray that I can see Jesus Christ in the people I will serve. Tomorrow is going to be hard, and I sure could use the prayers.

"Sanctity is made up of heroic acts. Therefore, in our work we are asked for the heroism of finishing properly the tasks commited to us, day after day, even though they are the same tasks."

Saint Jose María Escrivá de Balaguer

My prayers will be with you!! Verses I can keep in mind during tough things always help me...here's one I came across when I was doing a personal Bible study about work and finding joy in it...

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men." -Colossians 3:23

And an extra point I wrote down that was in the book was "The whole world belongs to God, and he grants everybody the privilege of caring for some little patch of it."

Those helped me to think positively. :)

Best wishes and prayers!
