Draft

As of today, October 20th, I have over 20 unpublished blog posts on this blog. Twenty of my written works for joy or pain lie hidden from your hungry little eyes. I'm not bragging. I'm coming clean. Each time I sign in to write a new post I see those twenty-plus angry orange draft markers, and I'm beginning to feel a bit of guilt.

Since the purpose of this blog is to somehow let you in a little bit on the secret and madness that is me, and since I am clearly depriving you of almost 25% of my total blog writing shenanigans, here is just a sampling, a little "tastelette," of those never-to-be-published-blog-post titles:
-5:30
-Actually Growing Up
-Websites I like
-Why I am Worried
-Once I wanted to be the greatest...
-Music Changes Everything
-I Might be in Love
-On Being Alive
-History
-Things are Hard
-Roommate Dinner

There is even one rather lengthy post titled:
-I just want to write one of those wildly emotional posts...

Ridiculous, I know. You can probably judge from the titles of the above posts why they never quite made the final cut for cynthiacarol.blogspot.com. (Is it appropriate to hyperlink your blog url on your own blog? I just did).

Also, for the sake of honesty I must shamefully admit to having one blog post that is a virtual (hehe) brainstorm for, you'll never guess... MORE blog titles. How sick is that.

This probably reveals my obsession with titles. I just love using words to draw a reader in. I mean, A Secret Affection, come on. Who didn't see that title and think it might be about someone, not something, let alone chocolate? If I had called that post, "Chocolate and Why I like it sometimes," you probably would not have read it. At all. Or, at least, your pulse would have been slightly lower if you hadn't read it in hopes of finding out the object of my deepest secret affection. "OMG, is she going to totally reveal her secret love for me in this blog post? How embarrassing!"

Okay, okay, I'll stop. ...But Seriously.

I am giving you a bit of me right now. I will complete, and publish one of the above mentioned posts for you, but here's where you come in. Please comment on this post with the title that you think I should publish. Your deadline is next Tuesday (10/27) at 9 PM. At that point whichever title has the most requests will be the title and subject of my post for that day.

Game on.

I say you do two, because you have over twenty (!) and because I can't decide.
My votes:
Actually Growing Up
On Being Alive

And don't worry about so many unfinished blogs (and the list of ideas) because I have quite a few myself (and even more lists with topics)!

on being alive has my vote.

I would like to see what "Music Changes Everything" is about!

also, can I say that the word verification word for me just now is "redic" which is kind of ridic...

Music changes everything.

What you could do is publish all your drafts in another blog, taking out all references to yourself and names, and place it on the internet without linking anyone to it. That way you can tease people by saying they're out there somewhere but can't be found or identified.

On Being Alive, I'd say.

And, um, hello, if you have so many things that you haven't written about/published, then GIVE ME SOME. That is my main issue- I can't think of any topics!!

And I feel like Ross would know some method to track down your posts should you take his suggestion. Tricksy little hobbitses. He just wants our secrets, yes he does, precious.

(P.S. Just kidding, Ross.)

oh, boy. they all sound great! but, I agree with Ruth - two is always better than one. :) Here are my votes:

"One I wanted to be the greatest..." - because you know how important dreams are to me, and the title leads me to believe dreams may be the subject matter

2. "Websites I Like" - I know it's superficial, but I think the websites people visit frequently say a lot about a person.
